what is your purpose in life?

What is Your Purpose in Life?

Do you ever wonder what your purpose in life is? Or, what it is that put you here on this Earth?

In life, we go through different phases. In the parenthood phase, for example, you change dramatically.

At one time, you were once this little girl, who was adventurous, loving, silly and so fun. You craved happiness, freedom, and friends. You had a creative imagination that knew no bounds.

And then, you go to school and you realize that there ARE bad things, and bad people in life. People that make you smile, and people who hurt you. That life is not what you suddenly thought it was, and reality hit you in the face.

Next is high school, where friends and peer pressure start to determine your worth. High school is a turning point from childhood to adulthood, and when you’re supposed to figure out where you want to go to college and what you want to do for the rest of your life.

Enter college. New friends, new responsibilities, new world. But you are still YOU. You haven’t changed one bit. There is a new superpower that comes about, called independence. ”

And then you meet “The One”… and make THE biggest decision of your life, by saying “Yes.”

Yes to the man who you will spend the rest of your life with, who you will share a home with, grow with, cry with, and fight ugly with. The man who will determine your children’s personalities, and who they grow up to be. The man who will either be your biggest supporter some days, or your biggest case of stress, and the man who will change your personality, who will change your friends, and who will change what others think about you.

But then, you become a mother.

A mother who found an entire new meaning of life after going through the hardest phase of life. A mother who endured so much pain, sleepless nights, fluctuating hormones, and suddenly has no time for friends, her husband, her home, or herself.

But yet, you found an entire new meaning of life through this thing called “motherhood.” You found how much you could possibly withstand. You found out just how tired you could be, without your body physically shutting down. You found a new husband through the growth you experienced together, and ultimately new friends who you could now relate to on an entirely new level.

And, you found a new self. A new, fulfilling purpose. A purpose of life that reflects being the best human you can possibly be for yourself, so that your husband and kids are happy. A purpose of loving those who you’ve not taken the time to love in the last few years because you were “too busy” (or, it just wasn’t a priority). Because those people who you love, you will learn, won’t be around forever. Sometimes they leave you entirely too soon, and you wish you had one more second with them. Just, one more.

And so, your purpose in life becomes not what you do, or how much money you earn, but how you leave people feeling. Are you making people feel loved? Are you taking the opportunity to make a stranger smile? Can you do better to others so that maybe they might also do better to two more people?

If not, question what your purpose in life is. Go ahead. What is it? If you were to die tomorrow, what would you wish for right now?

THAT is your purpose.

We only have one life. Let’s do good, be good, and keep chasing that purpose.

How to Level Up your Life

Guys, I’m so glad you’re here. I’m so glad you’re reading this. This will be the one blog post you should read about when you are at a point of wanting to level up your life. Change your BELIEFS

So… the one thing you need to think about is the word “belief.”

Belief is what makes you hesitate. It makes you miss out on opportunities. Beliefs are SO powerful. They either propel you forward or take you backwards.

This is ONE thing that can make things happen for you.

Are you looking for something new? Are you fulfilled in your current life? Do you have clarity and confidence?

Everyone comes from a different walk of life – but there are a lot of people who come from the same walk of life as you, and have transformed their life and become unstoppable.

Things can change in an instant, and YOU can be a part of that change. It’s easier than you think. It starts with your CORE BELIEFS.

Beliefs can run deep. You can create that mindset that is bulletproof. What belief have you had? What belief did you have that made you miss opportunities? Write it down.

Don’t let fear hold you back

Personally, I experienced this for myself. I was driven by FEAR. I was afraid of what people would think, the pain and weakness associated by being out of my comfort zone, so I stayed in my comfort zone. Then, the next day I was angry at myself for not having the balls to get out of my comfort zone.

Do you want to be left behind in your life? Or do you want to be ahead in your life? Don’t let old stories hold you back. You are ready to transition. Don’t tell yourself that since you made mistakes, you have never succeeded, you have always failed.

You are not your past

You CAN leave the past in the past. You are NOT your past.

Start today over. Start fresh. You have a brand new day, that you can do anything with.

Decide who you are today, and BE THAT PERSON.

I love you! Go chase your dreams!

6 Ways to Combat Stress

If you are like me, your stress can be all over the place. The babysitter calls in sick. Then, you go to work, open your e-mail, only to find that a client is upset. You get home, and your kids are melting down because they’re hungry.

Does this sound familiar?

Yes, we’ve all been in those shoes. But what are you going to do about it? After all, life is not what happens to you. It’s how you react with what happens to you.

To help you get through these stressful moments, here are 6 ways to help you combat stress:

  1. Laugh

Yes, I said laugh. Funny, right? (No pun intended). In those stressful times, maintaining a sense of humor can relieve your stress in many ways. First, there are many ways you can benefit from laughter. Studies have shown that laughter can help relieve pain, bring a dose of happiness and also increase immunity. Also, it’s more difficult to stay stressed when you’re laughing. Maintaining a sense of humor is a great reminder that our stressors may not be as unbearable as they seem. So, next time you’re stressed, just laugh it off.

2. Aromatherapy

This is one of my favorites, and as easy as it comes. Studies show that certain types of aromatherapy are passive forms of stress relief – you don’t have to do anything, but go about your day as you normally would.

3. Meditation

This is becoming a mainstay for many because it brings so many wonderful benefits, as well as resilience against future stress. You should not shy away from this, if you think you don’t have time to practice, etc. All it takes is 5 minutes!

4. Breathing exercises

These can be done if you’re at work, at home, at the airport, or in the car. They can be done anywhere, with little training. Combined with other stress relief techniques, you will quickly (and easily) be able to combat forms of anxiety and high stress.

5. Exercise

Exercise provides so many health benefits, besides the obvious (toned arms, anyone?). It can be a quick outlet for frustration, and an excellent distraction to get your mind off of what you’re stressed about. It’s not always a “quick” way to relieve stress, however, there are so many options to exercise at your desk chair, or even in bed, if you don’t have time to get to the gym!

6. Change your environment

A quick change of environment always does a body good. If you’re in the office, step outside and breathe. If you’re at home, change rooms. Whatever environment you’re in, ditch it!
